the farm "Castle Catabbiaccio", located in the heart of the Maremma Grosseto, is located just 12 km from the famous Terme di Saturnia, about 20 kilometers from important centers of civilization Etruscan Sovana, Pitigliano, Sorano, 50 km from the coast of 'Argentario, Capalbio Ansedonia and Talamone and about an hour's drive from Monte Amiata (1738 m) where you can enjoy winter sports or a stroll in the beautiful forests.
The oldest part of the castle, the "Farm", has been restored respecting the original structure: stone and wooden beams, terracotta floors, lots of space and is equipped with: - Three double rooms with bathroom (a call room of the Bishop, because it is said that you've slept on the Bishop Hildebrand of Soana, who later became Pope Gregory VII); - A suite with a loft for four people, stone fireplace and bathroom with tub; - Common living room, with fireplace and game table; - Communal kitchen in masonry, with a fridge and a large table. In the west wing of the castle was converted into a lovely apartment, called "Etruscan", on two levels, with private entrance and comprises a double bedroom, twin bedroom, kitchen, small cellar (it seems dating back to Etruscan times) and bathroom . The renovations of the old workshops of the Castle gave birth to the "House of the Arch", very impressive with ancient arches and stone walls, consisting of: - A double room with bathroom; - A large room for four people, with services; - A double room with bathroom, with two arches in 1200; - Communal kitchen, masonry fireplace. Available to all guests there are: - A large hall situated in the ancient barns, with pointed arches, sixth and exposed beams, a meeting point and friendships during the breakfasts, the dinners and other events;. - A tavern made from an old wine cellar with authentic arcade in 1200, used as a snack; - A swimming pool, in the park, where there are also swings, playhouse for children and other games; - A Finnish sauna, housed in an old stone cottage with shower and loungers.
